Cataract Surgery

Dr. Day also provides pre-operative and post-operative care for patients who require cataract surgery. A cataract is a cloudiness that develops in the normally clear lens of the eye. This cloudiness usually worsens until it scatters or blocks the light trying to enter the eye, causing vision to become dim, blurry and distorted. Most cataracts develop slowly over time and may take several years before seriously affecting a person's vision. When the clear lens becomes milky or dirty-looking, it is called a cataract. A person with cataracts cannot see clearly and colors may appear dim and faded. If you have cataracts that are causing visual difficulties, he will usually recommend further tests and an evaluation for surgery.

Lasik Surgery

Are you ready to be free from glasses and contacts?

Dr. Day provides pre- and post-operative care for patients who elect for Lasik surgery. He works closely with Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute so you are placed in the most capable and accomplished hands within the Lasik field in the Northwest.
Pre-operative evaluation will determine if you are a candidate for corrective surgery. To do this, Dr. Day and his Clinic Technicians take specific measurements of your eyes and send this information to the surgeons for evaluation. Post-operative care monitors that your eyes are healing properly and that you are prescribed a minor distance or reading prescription if needed.
